My journey created a special place in my heart for survivors who may be trying to find their way out, rebuild their confidence, regain stability, and create a safer future for themselves and their children.
My passion also extends to formerly incarcerated individuals returning to their communities and trying to overcome the barriers that can come with starting over. I believe that a past mistake or difficult chapter should not automatically determine someone's future. With resources, mentorship, accountability, opportunity, and support, people can change the direction of their lives.
I also recognize that children and youth are often impacted by circumstances they did not create. Whether they have witnessed domestic violence, experienced instability, or have a parent or loved one who is incarcerated, they deserve support, positive experiences, mentorship, and opportunities to dream beyond their circumstances.
That is the heart behind Safe Haven & Second Chances Foundation.
